Do is a general word for actions. Do သည္ လုပ္ေဆာင္ခ်က္၊ လွုပ္ရွားမွဳဆိုင္ရာမွာသံုးသည္။ွ

ဥပမာ-

What are you doing this evening? ဒီညေန နင္ဘာလုပ္မွာလဲ။

Julia’s job is very boring. She does the same thing every day. ဂ်ဴလီယာရဲ႕အလုပ္က ၿငီးေငြ႕စရာေကာင္းတယ္။ ေန႕တိုင္း ဒါ..ၾကီးပဲလုပ္ရတယ္။

I did a lot of things yesterday. မေန႕က ငါအမ်ားၾကီး (တစ္ခုၿပီးတစ္ခု) လုပ္ခဲ့တယ္။

Expressions with do. 

do (an exam/a test, a course, homework, somebody a favour, exercise, housework)

I am doing my driving test next week. ေနာက္တစ္ပတ္က်ရင္ ငါယာဥ္ေမာင္းစစ္းေဆးမွဳလုပ္ရမယ္။

Khun Aung Myat Han has just done a training course. ခြန္ေအာင္ၿမတ္ဟန္က သင္တန္းၿပီးသြားတာ သိပ္မၾကာေသးဘူး။

I go for a run and do exercises every morning. မနက္တိုင္း က်ေနာ္ ေၿပးၿပီး ေလ့က်င့္ခန္းေတြ လုပ္ေလ့ရိွတယ္။

I hate doing housework, especially cleaning. အိမ္အလုပ္လုပ္ရတာကို က်ေနာ္မႏွစ္သက္ဘူး.. အထူးသၿဖင့္ သန္႕ရွင္းေရးလုပ္တာကို မုန္းတယ္။

Have the children done their homework? ကေလးေတြ အိမ္စာလုပ္ၿပီးၾကၿပီလား။

Do + Ving

I did the washing but I didn’t do the shopping. က်ေနာ္ အဝတ္ေလွ်ာ္ခဲ့တယ္ ဒါေပမယ့္ ေစ်းဝယ္မထြက္ခဲ့ဘူး။

Expressions with make.

make (a mistake, an appointment, a phone call, a list, a noce, a bed)

I’m sorry, I made a mistake. စိတ္မေကာင္းပါဘူး က်ေနာ္အမွားလုပ္မိသြားတယ္။

I must make an appointment to see the doctor. ဆရာဝန္နဲ႕ေတြ႕ဖို႕ က်ေနာ္ ခ်ိန္းဆိုမွဳလုပ္မွရမယ္။

Excuse me, I have to make a phone call. ခြင့္ၿပဳပါအံုး. .က်ေနာ္ ဖုန္းေခၚရမွာမို႕ပါ။

Have you made a shopping list? နင္ ေစ်းဝယ္ထြက္ဖို႕ စာရင္းလုပ္ၿပီးၿပီလား။

It’s late. We mustn’t make a noise. ေနာက္က်ေနၿပီ( ညဥ္႕နက္ေနၿပီ) ငါတို႕ဆူညံပူညံမလုပ္ၾကနဲ႕ေတာ့္။

Sometimes I forget to make my bed in the morning. တစ္ခါတစ္ေလေတာ့္ မနက္ပိုင္းဆို က်ေနာ္အိပ္ရာသိမ္းဖို႕ေမ့တတ္တယ္။
